I was quoted between $10,000 and $12,500 for a pair of these doors from the various Vertex dealers in the states, So the price of $5000 was ....EACH! And yes ,the safty issue is another thing......the cheap regular carbon doors in the add from Japan would splinter you to death. However, dry carbon is a whole different ballgame. My friend has a dry carbon hood and I can literally jump up and down on the hood of his car and it doesn't break or crack.......and I'm not small by any means......LOL Ok, look at it this way the F-1 cars are completely made of DRY Carbon, and when one blasts the wall the drivers don't always die off CF splinters, do they? No because of the way it is made, its 100 times stronger than CF hoods you see every day, and it turns to dust when you crush it, hence the need for the cage! The little hoops above the drivers heads are dry carbon on the F-1 cars and it literally holds the drivers head up off the ground when sliding down the track upside down. I just thought I would shed some light onto the price of the Dry carbon parts, and this is why they cost soooooo much!

If you saved the pic i posted i mite be able to find the source of it or maybe even the owner. People requested so many pics of different styles of Supras that I dont even remember what pics I posted and when. Chances are though it was a pic of a Supra from Japan I got from the SOGI site.
