The doors are heavy, but lets say the doors each weigh as much as the hood, which is substantially bigger, 70 x2.
And the trunk, I have no idea what that weighs, but lets say going to carbon fiber would lose 100 lbs...
Approximately 330 lbs best case scenerio. Nowhere near 1,000, but believe me, 300 lbs is a noticeable difference. I dont know where these people get off charging 5,000 bucks for two door panels when a carbon fiber hood is only 500. Thats rediculous, 5,000 dollars seriously can buy you a new, albeit NOT mint condition SC.

They key word is "dry" carbon fiber. T&E also has a Dry Carbon Bonnet for around $4,250. Dry carbon is a lot different then the "$500" carbon fiber hoods most people have. Do some research on it.
