I'm having a debate with a friend of mine about the SC300 and whether or not it's a GT car. I personally think it's a GT, but he thinks it's a luxury car...however, his idea that the Supra is a GT and the SC is not baffles me. I think he's hung up on the Lexus emblem...anyways, what's your opinion?

So you think that the SC300's reletive low power (what do good tuned ones put to the wheels?) keeps it out of the GT class? It does put down the same as the NA MKIV, and almost the same as previous turbos. I also thought they handled well in stock form?

5 speeds put down about 170 or so to the wheels so that's not GT numbers to me. They are well balanced (more-so than the 400) so the handling is just waiting for a little aftermarket. Remember they can be made into phenomenal (sp) drift cars.

The way I see it, Supra is an out and out sports car. The Soarer 4.0GT/3.0GT and SC4/3 on the other hand is a luxury car, the Soarer 2.5GT is a GT car (trying not to be biased here). ![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

James - I have to disagree with the fact that they make good drift cars. They are way too heavy and underpowered. You have to put at least 2x as much money into one just to get it to perform just as well as a lighter car with a better weight dist. i.e. S13-15 or AE86.
Jose - The 2.5GT is definately more of a "GT" compared to the rest of the models.
