It happened when i pressed the unlock button from my remote while someone was opening my driver side door from outside at the same time. I tried resetting the alarm. I can't open the door from outside or inside. I've search the forum but only found that other members that have their door jammed can't open it outside but can open from inside. I've tried focing the lock from inside but it's really stuck in there. I went to lexus dealership and they said minimum of 2 hours labours just for diagnostic because they said somehow they have to open it first then look at it. They're hourly rate is way overprice and who knows how long it will take them to fix it after the diagnostic. If someone had the same problem...please help!!!!

start your car, then hit the unlock button from the driverside... that worked for me.. i'm not sure why that happened to me before too.. but thats how i got my door to unlock...

well, the problem with your situation is that the door needs to be open to remove the doorpanel and access the wire that runs to the door lock and handle. After having changed my door lock 3 times i can tell you that you are not going to have much luck getting in there without the door open.

The best bet is to call a locksmith and have him remove the lock and manually open the door through the lock hole with a piece of metal.

How much did it cost for u to replice ur door lock?? And if i get a locksmith to open it, do u know how much it would cost and if he did get it opened, how hard is it to fix the wiring??
