Default Pictures of my REAR ENDED Lexus. (links fixed?)

1 Month ago I posted how I was in a red light and careless driver merged lanes into me and smacked into my right rear in his sunfire going 40-50 mph. I took it to a shop, and damages was estimated at close to 16k dollars. I payed 13k for the car, insurance wanted to give me 7k. I got a lawyer, and right now go to the chiropractor since I did suffer whiplash. I want to do ANYTHING i can to have this car fixed. It drives, rides, handles 100% perfectly normals. I can still drive this thing and I occasionally do drive it, to keep the engine running.

Ideas run from getting a parts car and clipping a rear end.. to well.. taking it across border and fixing it there...

What do you guys suggest? Other then get a new one, thats unnaceptable..

I bought a 1990 Nissan 240sx as a Daily driver... so time is not a huge issue.

i have the quarter panel and rear structure area if you want it. that repair should cost you less than 2K to fix, put the rest of the money into your pockets.

email me if your interested in the parts. gazi_ali@hotmail.com

edit: if you want to sell the car as is for cheap, i can take it off your hands as well

I believe the answer to that can be found in the original thread, I'm sure he's tired of going over that story again and again.

Ok, Everycar person that sees my car, insurance pretty much tells me to let my lexus go... I can't. So Ill have it fixed regardless. And yes, I will continue to mod this vehicle as planned....

However Aliga, how on earth is that a 2k fix? I wish that was true. Estimates have run as over 16k... Its definitevely a job that I could not do myself... Honestly.. Im thinking of having it fixed in mexico.. labor is cheaper, I just need to source the parts. I wish some of you guys lived locally in the az area..

What do you have on mind?

As for the sunfire that hit me, his car was utterly destroyed. Engine dragging on the ground, airbags destroyed.

that is a 2-3 day job for a body guy. look around, you may find a guy that does freelance work on the side!!

the figure you got was 16K with parts, you can probably buy most of those parts used for cheap.

send me your email, and ill send you pics of the clip that i have.

also shipping should not be that expensive. I am currently shipping a boxster hardtop from az top ny, and its costing a little less than 200.

Sorry to bring up a dead thread but it turns out that this car will be fixed afterall.

And the best of news is I wont have to deal with a salvage tittle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

However I need to source a rear bumper before I drive it to the shop.. Car wont be fixed in this side of the fence though..heh.

I should source a 5 speed while im at it. And yokohomas es100s all around... can't wait to road course this baby again.

Although my daily driver S13 as of now seems to be the slightly more nimble of the 2 probably do to the better tires and 5 speed with upgraded clutch..
