Default Anyone Else Clean the Undercarriage?

When I first got my car, it was a mess -- there was goopy oil and dirt caked onto the transmission, crossmember and other suspension parts.

I was inspired by the fact that S.W. keeps his SC so clean, and I figured my SC deserved similiar treatment. Anyone else do this? (I'm thinking of claybaring now...)

I should have taken pics before I started, but maybe I'll snap a few off today.

I would love to do that but you would need a lift I guess and allthough there is a place you can go about 2 miles from me to use their lifts and tools I don't think I would be allowed to make a big mess and I think I would make a big mess. Post som epics man I'd love to see how it looks.

I did this about a month ago.

1. Simple Green
2. Pesticide pump canister (Home Depot, Lowes) to reach all the nooks and crannies.
3. Flea market brushes (usually 10 for a $1)
4. Safety goggles.
5. Rubber Gloves.

Spray Simple Green then let it sit for a bit. Then spray with a good stream of water.

Helpful hints:

Take your time

After spraying it with the simple green do you rinse it or wipe it off or does it just dry by itself ? I bet that's a messy job but I will defenitely be doing it soon.
haha just thinking how obsessed we are going through all this to clean the undercarrioage of our cars
at least we know we aren't alone
