bomex kits

It depends on your personal preference...
If you want the subtle clean look, go with 97+.
Also they are made of urethene, so it won't be prone to chips and cracks of fiber glassed Bomex kit.
If you want the attention, go with Bomex.
As stated above, unless you will have to drive carefully to avoid damages.

I like the 97 update look personally, plus as mentioned above it's sturdier. I just know how I'd feel if some idiot bumped my car at a parking lot and cracked my new Bomex bumper and count on it happening if you use the car as a daily driver and have to park in sometimes questionable areas.

that's bad news to hear man. I would like the bomex but after hearing these stories of cracking I just don't know. My car is defenitely a daily driver, I would love the 97+ with a lip but I think that gets really pricey to find and add the lip right ?

I have a fiberglass kit myself, they do not hold up well if it's daily driven....It's bound to have some kinda cracks....
Every year around this time, I have to repaint my bumper because of some cracks and blemishes....
T&E vertex 97+ front lips are fiberglass also...Also keep in mind, they hang very low especially if you have only 18 inch wheels....They do make 20s for a reason....

$500 dollars for just a lip is pricey compared to OEM bumpers from Lexus that run in the neighborhood of $400....
Paint and install will cost roughly.......$250-$350

I know how you feel. The main reason I didn't go with the full conversion is the front and rear didn't seem low enough for me. If your car is lowered, the 97+ conversion is probably okay. I wasn't planning on lowering and knew I needed lower body parts. I also couldn't find lips for the 97+ front. If I had it to do over again, I would do the full conversion and get the car lowered. The urethane 97+ pieces are much more durable and easier to install and care for.
