The front end kinda resembles a '67 vette...

first pic is the early concept SC, second is lf-c which might replace current SC

Yeah, whoever designed the SC430 apparently is the same as who designed the new Solara. They both have that ugly (imho) "headlight-streaking-up-the-hood/trunk" thing going. It's like they were trying to hard to be trendy and came off chintzy instead.

Oh, and side note, it's amazing how much the addition of the round lights next to the headlights make on the SC3/400s. If you add those lights to the first proto, they'd be almost identical.
