Default Opinion on potential new wheels

Guys, what do you think of this wheel for my 92 Silver Spruce SC400? They're by HPRacing.

if you live in a city with many potholes make sure to get extra wheels.

Why don't you think HP makes quality stuff? Have you heard anything about it?

Thanks for all of the input. Still trying to decide if I want to replace my ADR Kasai's with these or not.

Default wheels

Nice looking wheel. Go for it. IMO, chrome would look better with the Spruce color but this style is cool.

Default here we go again...

Why on this forum do we bash anything that's not high end? I understand we drive luxury cars, but most of our cars are worth (technically) less than $10k, so why would it be necessary to put $4k rims on it? I'm not attacking anyone or anything, I just don't like the attitude that "unless you have to take out a second mortgage on your house, it's a crap product"

I've read Konig rims being bashed on here and I've had Konigs before and had no problems at all, and I hit hella potholes too. I've also seen some Axis wheels I like, but they get bashed on here as well. I believe each person should have the option to get what's in their price range (whatever that may be) and what suits their taste. It's just anytime I read a rim thread and it's about anything other than IForged, JDM, Zauber Gettins, Work, etc. I know it's only a matter of time before someone posts that they're crap. I'm sure members have cracked high end rims as well, but they'd never post that. Unless someone has had specific experience with a rim cracking in half I don't see the reason for the bashing

If it came down to price, I would buy a set of tenzo poke 10's over my blitz technospeeds. But you know what, I would hate to be seen driving around with a set of knock off's. Higher end rims in general are built with REAL rivets and are a true 3 piece, unlike those fake "3 piece look" wheels. The high end rims also come in sizes, offsets and disk fitmets not available from the knockoffs. Not to mention that they are forged aluminum vs. cast.

If you want to go for the cheap rim, hey.... more power to you. I will be happy knowing that I spent more for the higher quality wheel.

BTW: My wheels are worth $4000 w/o tires

If these wheels were for a car I owned that was a tad newer than the 92 SC400 project car I currently own then I might be more inclined to spend a few grand just for wheels and put on something better than the Ventus rubber I have now. I'm looking for a good looking wheel that will be used for summertime daily driving only. No racing, dragging, etc. I ended up buying them. I paid $694 shipped to my door. Can't beat the price. I appreciate everyone's input.
