eh, its real easy to get to the bulb, replace it and put everything back, my bulb was a little tight fitting so it would pop out by itself. I ended up using crazy glue and getting crazy glue in the little holder.....Ignition ring light = officially broken.

Default Help removing bottom panel / getting to ignition ring light

I know there have been a couple threads on this in the recent past, and I have read through them...but I was wondering if anyone has a step-by-step tutorial for dummies / newbies that they would be so kind as to post...I want to change out that ugly dim green light at my ignition ring, and I want to install a bright white LED (i think someone called it "angel eyes" in a previous thread...cool name...). Please help?!? I don't wanna screw it up...

siniquezu - you said in a previous thread that you were gonna post a tut...I couldn't find it, so I was wondering if you could PM me the link...thanx in advanced

1) pop off the ignition ring plastic piece
2) pop the bottom part of the dash below the ignition ring and pull up, you cant take this piece off because of the center console, put you can pull up enough to get the job done.
3) when you look up behind the dash you will see the plastic clear ring with a small gold screw, unscrew it and pull the rind down.
4) the lightbulb is in another piece of plastic attached to the clear ring, take that out and replace the bulb

it takes a 74 bulb, i used a white led., as you can tell i think its bright enough to not need two.

true as hell. Every single time I remove anything on my interior something either flexes and cracks or it's already broken by the time it catches my eye.

pretty old thread resurrected yet again.

Anyway, I attempted to do this to the key ring ignition last year and, well, let's just say mine does not light up anymore. It would really help if you had a friend to assist you (but wouldn't everything...)

I think that ignition angel eye is also sold as part of a light package at Luxurymods.com. (correct me if im wrong) They have a set of lights for everything for about $30.

Well I'd personally resurrect an old thread rather than post a new one and get flamed for not using the SEARCH button
