Default Thank you all for your condolences.

I was hit by a Ford Escort on Hwy 121. She ran a red-light on a crossroad and was traveling at over 60mph. Her car t-boned mine in the front driver-side quarter panel, spinned my car around, and then pushed my right rear panel onto a traffic light. Needless to say, both cars were totalled but thank God there were no fatality and according to the police officers, the two innocent infants in her car were unharmed. I suffered from internal bleeding, fractured ribs, and facial burns from the airbag and I was air-lifted to the trauma unit, but thank God she did not hit me directly on my driver's door. If she did, who knows what would have happened.

As expected, insurance companies do not play fair. Although the value my insurance adjustor gave me for the car was more or less reasonable, it hurts when I was only given 30 cents on the dollar for all my recent upgrades that include the Borla exhaust, Tokico shocks, 18” staggered wheels with 245 and 265 tires,Boston Accoustics Speakers, Bradi drilled/slotted rotors, Stainless Steel brakelines with SuperBlue fluid, and not to mention the PIAA stealth foglights, and the 6000K Philips HID I bought from Auto-lamps a couple of years ago. That really hurts, especially when most of these were only done less than a month ago. On the other hand, at least I am still alive, and I hope I can find myself another good SC400 to reinstall all the mods, if not, perhaps I will settle with the less sexy-looking GS400, the one with the tiptronic shift.

Neagan, you should be able to find matching touch-up paint at this site:

Stay merry, be safe, and watch out for those crazy drivers!

Default RIP: Drive towards the light and ascend into the great open road in the sky....

That hurts to look at, poor girl... Makes you really appreciate every time you're able to pull up to your driveway, park, and walk away... On the other hand, that is very impressive shape for something hit with 60 mph of force---very powerful impact!! Good luck with the recovery and with hunting down another sexy Japanese tank. If you do opt for the GS4-tip, I believe it was only offered in '98.

My God!!! I have to agree with everyone else, in saying that by the looks of that wreckage, you really are lucky. Your injuries could have been far more severe, if not fatal. It's one of those things you don't think will happen to you, and is the farthest thing from your mind as you head out of the driveway. I think you've convinced me to start looking into installing a rollcage.

sorry to hear what happened..... to the car, to you, and with insurance.......I say you fight to get more from their insurance. Not even for the mods on the car but for your pain.....

good luck man.

DAMN, that's painful to look at. I'm glad you're fine. If you were travelling 2MPH faster or if she was travelling 3MPH slower, things may be different.

Someone was looking out for you. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Default what are these people smoking????

The parts that resonate within my head are the facts that she:

1. ran a red light
2. was travelling at over 60 mph
3. in a Ford Escort!
4. with 2 infants in the car!!!!!

WTF is going through your head woman?!?!...

I had an idiot just this morning decide to swerve only the front portion of her car into my lane because the guy in front of her stopped short to make a left turn and she either wasn't paying attention or didn't want to brake. She must have thought she could slip into my lane from behind the guy...she was wrong and it was almost catastrophe. I had to drastically maneuver around her front bumper while not straying into the lane to my right (where a bus was travelling!). Some people really have no business operating a car. No business at all. Glad you lived to tell the tale man, it could have been much worse.

Default Infants in the car....

....This has been one of the main reasons why I have never choosen to street race where there are intersections, neighborhoods, and actual people running around,; **** happens, and kids get hurt. Then you have people who are endangering their OWN KIDS like this..... Why dosn't Child Protection Service nail these freaks. Nitro (I saw this happen locally last Sunday- two kids in the car- ambulance responding)

Dude, you are one lucky man!!! I don't think I've ever seen a car in that kind of shape after an accident where someone wasn't severely hurt or killed. You got off pretty damn easy for such a violent collision. I hope that you have a speedy recovery and suffer no long term effects from this. Good thing for you that you were driving a Lexus. Get well soon.

Jeremy
