Man, that is so hard to look at. I am glad you are ok & pray that you have a speedy recovery.

You need to submit your story with pictures directly to Lexus.com. Or call there Cust Service toll free # and get an address to snail mail them your story & this pic. They need to hear that you survived this kind of an accident & it was because of the safety cage of the Lexus SC- this car protected you. They take alot of detail explaining this saftey in there full color brochures on this model and they need to know this car saved your life.

Yeah, there not making this model anymore....but this kind of story... it won't go unnoticed by them... who knows they might contact you directly for more details.

Default Resurrected at last !

Howdy Folks,

Please excuse me for reopening an old thread but It has been a little bit over one year since the "retirement" of my first SC, and I thought I would take the opportunity to pay my respect by posting a couple of photos of her successor and to thank you'all for your kind words. After two hospital stays and one brain surgery, and approx. $190K of medical expenses, I am alive and well with no permanent physical or mental damages (as far as I know!) . Here is the 1995 SC400 I bought less than a year ago, and I have reinstalled all the mods as the previous car and more. I could not locate a teal one withough having to drive to Chicago, so I picked a white one instead. The color is a lot more common but I have grown used to it, and I really like the way it goes with chrome. Anyway, she may not be in the same league as the rides of my fellow enthusiasts but she suits me just fine.

19" Stern wheels, with special thanks to Edgar at Need4SpeedMotors.com
Falken Tires: 245/35/19 (F) & 275/30/19 (R) - I will go with 285 or wider next time.
Brembo D/S Rotors (F+R) & Axxis Ultima brake pads
StopTech SS brakelines w/ Motul fluid
Tokico Shocks
Dr. Gas High-Flow Cat & Y-pipe
Borla Exhaust
HID 6000K conversion kit from Autolamps-online.com
PIAA 912 Stealth Auxillary Driving Lamps with PIAA Extreme-Force Bulbs all around
Clear Corner Lens from Takakaira.com
Valentine One
Boston Pro speakers all around with JL 10w3v2 subwoofer & 300/2 amp

Peace & Good Health to all.

This is my 2nd set of Borla (the first set was destroyed in the accident). I opted to stay with Borla because of the low and muscular tone, and even though they may be a bit pricey, I do like to stick with things that I have good experience with. I am thinking about removing the center cat entirely to get better flow and to increase the sound slightly. Does anyone know if I would have problem passing the emission in Texas with only 2 cats? Thanks!

Crazy stuff man. Glad to see your ok. Like everyone knows, a vehicle can be replaced, a life can't. Happy to see you're back in the family. This is like an after school special about unsafe drivers and the people they effect. Group hug.
