i did a search and checked the regularly recommended sites, but i couldnt find any details on this. im looking to remove the console bezel, as seen in this lexuspros tutorial:

here's the catch: i dont have a shift lock button, i have what looks like a keyhole that my master key won't fit in (dont have the other keys with me), and it appears too small for the other keys anyway. i need to be able to put the car in neutral to take off the shift plate and then the bezel. any help would be great

use a flathead screwdriver, put the flathead and tilt it to one side. Try to pry the little plastic piece out of there, by placing the screwdriver in that tiny slit/opening. It'll work, trust me.
