Talking I am now the proud owner of a 1993 SC300!

Well, it took some time to find, but I finally found one

Ever since my farther owned one when I was younger (before upgrading to an Acura NSX ) I have loved the car, and now I own my own.

1993 SC300
183,000
5-speed
Gold

It needs some work, but I was looking for a project car so it turned out great. And for $2,000, I got my money's worth!

So far I have ordered 17" Konig Blatant wheels, a full iRotors rotor/pad/SS brake line package, Escort ZR3 laser jamming (will control through my 8500), Momo shift ****/boot....hmm, what else....I am going to be ordering some other things later tonight like a full Carputer setup like some of the other guys here on the forum are doing.....new speakers/sub/amp......new leather seats from leatherseats.com....and some other stuff. I am currently researching ground effect kits, Im not sure which to go with.

And I am currently undecided as to what to do with the paint. The car needs a whole new paint job for the most part. I could get away with just doing some here and there but I would rather just do the entire car at once. My problem is, do I leave it the factory gold color, or change the color entirely? How much of a price difference would it probably be to change colors since more needs to me painted etc.?

Thanks for any input, and Im glad to finally be an SC300 owner!!!

On a side note, to all the Florida owners, where are all you guys located at? I am currently in Palm Beach but I go to school in Gainesville most of the year.

Default leave the gold

leave the gold... respray if needed.

JIC, Vertex, or AutoCulture for starters. That's JIC kit w/ Iforged 20s mmmmmm

Look @ this FAQ... from our very own lex400sc http://www.intellexual.net/faq.html#06

Oh yeah, and replace the worn components in your drivetrain and turbo the thing... or you could just swap in a GTE & 6 speed

Welcome to the club -- awesome project car bro.

Yeah, pictures like that make me want to leave it gold Unfortunatley I couldnt afford rims like that, lol. I was going to get OZ Antares, but I decided that saving $500 on my wheels could give me that much more to go right into everything else I want to get. Since I got silver rims, how do you think the car would look staying with the gold paint and changing over the emblems to silver?

Welcome to the club man. Sounds like you got a good deal on the car. How are the mechanicals?

Side note: I've always loved that gold SC, iForged makes some of the best looking wheels, IMO.

Seems to be in pretty good condition considering its age. The engine has all the seals, etc. replaced around 110k miles, owner got regular oil changes, etc.

I think I may want to do a rebuild on it sometime this year though, with one of the high performance Supra kits, and get the engine ready for a turbo kit down the line. Any engine kit you guys can reccomend?
