Default Problem with headlight fit.

I just had a 97-00 bunper installed on my 93SC. As far as the low beams are concerned. The driver side headlight doesn't seem to fit correctly. Passenger side does though. I bought two replacement headlights so they are not what came with the car from the factory.

My question is: does the 97-00 models use a different shape or part number for the low beams or were they all the same?

Thanks!

To my understanding all of the low beam headlight housings are the same for everyear. I think most people have problems fitting the highbeams perfectly though.

Maybe someone else could verify this?

Thanks Bizzy!!

Anyone else?

Would love to have all the facts before I go and express my displeasure at the Body Shop.

There should be 0 problems fitting the 97+ body to the 92-96 body. I've done it myself on my 92 and I have zero fitment issues.

The gap that people say they have is fixed by using a metal clip that should be there from the 92-96 body that attaches to the bottom of each highbeam to the inside of the front bumper.

I know it sounds weird, but if you look on each side in front of the highbeam, you'll see those metal clips i'm talking about.

Headlights should also fit with no problems...

Good luck fixing your problems...

Many thanks guys. Don't know why the Body Shop didn't get mine right. I'll guess I'll just have to see what they can do.

i had a slight misalignment with mine. After a while I finally figured it out.
If you look at your headlight. Towards the pointy inside (the most inside when they are installed and looking at the car from the front) There is a little nipple that comes out and it's supposed to fit into a little hole. Sometimes this doesn't go in all the way or sometimes they are simply bent a little.

On mine it was out and it was bent. I straightened it out and put it back in the hole and now it lines up perfectly. I used to have slight gap in the highbeams and I was able to wiggle the headlight a tiny little bit... now they are perfect with no gaps and no movements.

good luck.
