right below the deck i was thinking about putting in a dvd screen or something.. If i really go crazy in the next 3 months ill start researching carputers, but for now can i fit a screen in there?

edit: i cant get the gallery to host my picture, go to https://www.clublexus.com/gallery/sh...sort=1&cat=502 to view.. if anyone can figure out how i post an image here i would appreciate it!

I'd put a 1.5 din pocket in there if I could find one. Otherwise put in a 1 din pocket and use the ABS plastic for the 1/2 din left over. I'm not sure if you have enough room for a screen though. It's a pretty small area.

I can't help you with what to put in there, but I'll try with the pic.

That's a mighty big pic you have in the gallery, I resized it for you. If you want to have the image show up in a post you can right click on the image in the gallery and select "view image." You then copy the url of the image and use the IMG button while posting, it'll show up.

Right now I have a gap that is probably 1.5 times the size of that. I am installing XM in the spot using ABS plastic as a mold around it. i will post pics when I have it finished - hopefully by the weekend.

Peace,

jonny

Has anyone ever successfully relocated the heater controls else where in the cabin area in a SC before? Seems that if you were able to do that and slide your deck down a bit, you would have plenty of space for a screen then.

Heater controls are not a perfect rectangle shape its actully curved at the top i think its possible if you have a good plastic fabricator

Here's my current setup.

I'm planning to remove the pocket and move the headunit up. After that i'll mount my SAFC II (black) below wrapped with custom ABS piece.

How about a equalizer? I think that's what it was called.

hey what pocket is that? i bought the toyota universal pocket, but the holes don't really match up so my pocket doesn't fit tight. it droops down a bit. i tried fitting it on the top and bottom, but the holes don't line up for either. right now my remote bass controller is in that 0.5 din space, but i'm going to have to do something about that.
about the 1.5 din pocket, i looked around for about 5 months, but i don't think there is such a pocket (unless customly made) b/c most cars don't have that much free space left after installing a HU.
