Three reasons they rubbed a little at first.
1. With the 40 offset, the wide thick tires stuck out just a little.
2. I have really thick tires. 245-40-19f and 275-35-19r. The fatboy set up gives me the diameter of 20's.
3. The suspension had to get used to the new set up. I had 18's with 245-40 all around. Then you go up to what equates to 20's and the car wasn't used to it. I notice now there is no rubbing.
