How are the wheels held together?
Hey T,
I was wondering if the wheels have no rivets how do they join the one piece hoop to the center section. In other words how are the two seperate parts made or fitted to each other as one solid unit.

iforged lets you order the 2 and 3 piece both with polished outer lip and in three internal forged finishes. In order from least exspensive to most expensive painted, polished, brushed. The reason brushed is more expensive than polished is because the wheel must be polished before brushed. The two piece is made from the (1) circular outer lip and (1) center forging. I dont know the specific way the two are mated but I would guess welded or brazed. I do know that the painted forged center can become a problem on the two piece because the two are mated after the forging is painted, polished, or brushed and the heat can have adverse effects on the painted forging. The 3 piece is very similar except there are (2) pieces two the outer lip and they are riveted together. That is the reason I could not get a half size 2 piece wheel (8.5) and had to get a 8 or 9.
