The book value on those things would make a straight trade a sweet deal if you chose to sell the RSX and then pick a up a 98'-2000' SC...

I've seen too many Type R's at the track destroy the Type S. I would go Type R instead.

well, if my sc was giving me heartaches and problems, then yea id trade, then do the jdm k20a type-r swap then build it from there and make it a mad sleeper, better yet, screw the rsx, id get an ITR

all in all, depends on what you like but that orange SC for a regular type-s, i don't kno bout that one

i visit the clubrsx boards frequently for a friend who has a type s, and lemme tell you, those things can move.... slow i think not.... add on the intake/exhaust/race header with the hondata reflash and you're lookin at close to 215whp.... that's pretty good for a car that's only 2800lbs. handling wise, type r would own it.... but there has been more time for aftermarket to develop for the type r compared to the type s...... that and turbo kits are out for the type s now..... many runnin over 300whp now.... i wouldn't trade my sc400 for one.... but if i was in the market for a car, i'd look at a type s simply because of the aftermarket support and with the right bodykit, it can look pretty damn good

The Acura is still wrong-wheel-drive

With the turbo kit it can win against an M3 (we had a video of the m3 guy not wantin to pay up).

That guy's out of his mind! I don't even want to know how much money went into that SC and now he
trades it for a pocket rocket that isn't such a rocket?

He obviously loved his SC so what's his reasoning behind this madness?

What a bad idea, the SC is a lot more classy, rare in comparision to another "me too" rsx on the road. I was considering one, but I could never see spending the money on an RSX S or non type s, either way, they have tons of road noise, the leather seats tear (thin/cheap) after only a few years (atleast this is what I read from many reviews)....what else, the insurance is a lot higher on them...I pay $100 a month on my lex with every coverage Giego offers, compared to a gsr I was quoted about 30-35% more....Okay, maybe the rsx-s might be a faster car in a straight line, but who cares, for 18-23k, not worth the car payment!!

Ladies love the lex, and it's not just another acura on the road...I did the integra thing, fun car for a 1989, but it was cheap: www.geocities.com/g1teg89

So anyone who trades an SC for an RSX...have to wonder!!!!!!!!!!!! But to each his/her own right

Man i would trade in a heart beat cause the SC in the pic is a show car if he was gonna sell it on the street he would take a mad loss. I would get the rsx slang it and get a last year model of the SC 400 and invest the rest of the money into an investment or better yet take some friends for a fat bag of weed a MGD and some strippers and its on man

I beg to differ, I drive my friend's RSX who has intake, header, exhaust and tuned with a V-AFC and I think it's slow. It's not a hideous car, but when compared to our SC's it does nothing for me. I mean the cars I've been used to driving is my friend's modded WRX, my old turbo Celica, my 98 SC300 and my gf's 2000 Eclipse GS. I'd say the RSX is on the bottom rung. [/QUOTE

I would beg to differ on compairing these 2 cars. I too have a friend with a '02 RSX/S and it is in no way slow. With his current mods with would include a CAI, JR headers with test pipe, Thermal catback, and a short shifter, has and will walk an S2K in stock trim. Now I'm not totally defending Hondas in anyway shape and form, but the cars are in 2 different classes. Yes we are all used to driving RWD cars, but the RSX is fun to drive. The SC is a pig out of the box, but any car can be fast with money put into it. Ohh and XS, I would love to see the day when a '00 GS Eclipse will beat an RSX/S. In fact i would put money on it. And yes in some odd circumstance, i would trade the SC for an RSX/s.

with our bigger engine, we are so used to feeling the torque, that's why, sometimes teh rsx/s feels slow, it doesn't have the torgque like the sc, wrx, or any other displacement car. otherwise, they can be very quick w/ simple mods once it hits their vtec point. on freeways, they are not that slow as most would describe it to be. like i said, w/ simple mods they can break into the 14s more the 03 than 02 ( don't know why)...02 is slower... i'm not sure if there's any sc3 w/ i/e/h are in the 14s.. i might be wrong.
