this is the project i've been trying to get completed for about 3 years now!!!!
i tried to work with O.L.T. on this, but he wanted no part of cathode technology(what up b!)due to temperature related uses,reliability and cost .
this is about as far as i got before i scrapped the project:

these flourescent tubes are from the LS 400 for about $35-$40 apiece:

Nextlevel, i FINALLY found a tube i could trust to work. In my ice blue thread i experimented with cathodes about 6 months ago or more. more like 8 months ago if i remember correctly. The dang thing burnt out on "perfect" voltage after 2 months.

The ones i am using now are awsome and i back them with one year, expected life is 5 years or better.

how does it compare to what you offer with the led's right now? is the light more intense and is there unbearable spotting?
if not,let's do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
