Default '95 SC Brochure - Can someone scan one for me?

This is from the leather seats thread in vender forum:

Order #5 placed. Jeremy, I have a follow up question with you regarding the gathering on the seats. After we spoke today, I went back and checked the stock seats and here's what I've concluded:

The rear backrests are indeed slightly gathered. It's not much. When you follow the panel back to the stitch, you can see that it was sewn with the gathering like that. However, the bottom of the back seat as well as the bottoms and backrests of the front seats were not sewn with any gathering at all. They are washboard stiff and smooth(even smoother than the photo above). When they were new, they were still washboard stiff, but they've become slightly firmer over time as the leather has hardened. I've followed the panels back to the stitches and unlick the backrest panels of the rear bench, you can clearly see that gathering was not sewn in nor intended.

Is this different than you're understanding of the stock seats? I want to make sure I get the look as stock as possible.

Also, is the leather you guys use as thick as the leather in the stock seats?

Thanks.

Stock is gathered. It looks the most luxurious.

Get it for sure. I got mine from Leatherseats.com and they are beautiful.

I just want to get it as stock looking as possible. I found a '92 brochure that shows the inserts gathered. I suspected they changed it between then and 1995.

I'm biased towards gathered.

Default '95 SC Brochure - Can someone scan one for me?

Does anyone have a 1995 SC300/400 brochure that they could scan in for me? I'm particularly interested in any photos that show the seats. I'm really trying to resolve the question of whether the stock leather inserts were gathered or not. So far, almost all of the stock pictures I can find show flat. But one picture of a '93 brochure where you can see the top of the driver seat through the window shows gathered.

I really want to make it look as stock as possible.

I'm looking at a 96 SC300/400 brochure right now that someone found for me here at the dealership and it shows gathered leather....I'm pretty sure the 95's would be the same.....

You're really making a HUGE deal out of nothing. Get the gathered. Flat looks too plain and non-lux

...unless you want plain hard washboard stiff seats

Mine are the factory seats and are not gathered. Get whatever you think looks/feels best. It's not a 62 Ferrari - you don't have to be period correct.

To be honest. I like both for different reasons.

I'm actually starting to supsect that the '95s did come with a *slight* gathering that flattened out over time. My rear benches have subtle yet obvious gathering on the backrests but not the seat bottoms.

I'm wondering if the backrests were slightly gathered originally with the seat bottoms being flat.

In fact, I think I'd like that best.

I have merged your threads - no need to begin a new one for the same information.

lol, dude you're gonna **** off the leatherseats guys with these crazy requests! Flat, to me, is asking for trouble. I see flat leather and I automatically think "hard on my tush!" Every new luxury car I look into on these lots has gathered leather, it looks and feels much better than flat leather. You used the word "washboard" and I think that's extremely accurate. Depends on what you're after. I personally find the gathered leather more comfy and better looking. Flat has no appeal for me at all. None. Unless it's half price.

Yes, I already found that link. I even found the '93 brochure that was scanned in a while back. Of course I scoured ebay forwards and completed items backwards. I scoured the web and found probably quite a few pictures that you didn't and that have never appeared in this forum. I scoured autotrader which has dozens of SCs with "more photos". None of them provide a difinitive answer.

What I have not found is a '95 SC brochure. I even went back and checked www.archive.org and the wayback machine to see if the lexus site might be archived from that time. It isn't. lexus didn't have a website in 1995 apparantly.

The reason I re-posted the other thread is because you deleted it and merged it with this one so those that are looking at the forum who aren't really interested in answering the question about gathered vs insert may instead see that I'm looking for a brochure and might even have it.

Call me obsessed. Someone here thinks I'm making a big deal out of it. You have no idea. I've been buying up little trim pieces ...anything that is even slightly damaged because I'm trying to do a complete interior restoration. I want it to look stock and new. The only exception I've made is that I'm having the steering wheel done like the ls400.
