How much experience do you have with the rotary? When do you know you can step up to one after using a PC for so long?
Thanks! I used to detail cars on the side using a rotary, so I have a little bit of experience. I would suggest practicing on a famliy car that wouldn't matter if it got messed up. The key is to keep it flat against the car so it won't create "hazing". But, everybody tends to get their own procedure. Using a cutting compound or swirl mark remover requires low rpms and very slow passes. Practice makes perfect!

Yeah, I do, but it had zaino on it before, and the difference between the two (swirl mark remover) isn't easily noticeable by picture. . .
