Default Climate Control problem- NOT usual LCD blackout isse

Hey all- on Saturday as I left my house for an hour drive I noticed the interior was pretty fogged up. I reached over to turn on the rear defrost and realized that the climate control screen, while lit up green, had nothing displayed on it. Thus, the backlight was there, but nothing else. I pressed the power/auto button to no avail, then tried each individual button with no luck. Hoping beyond hope it was just the fuse (even though it was still backlit, so not terribly logical), I changed that, still nothing. So, I currently have a car in which I can't control the climate control system at all as the screen is lit up but displays no information, nor do pressing the buttons do anything. Any ideas? The cigarette lighter/power point is suddenly dead as well. The day before I had accidentl;y left my moonroof open in a thunderstorm for about 20 minutes, allowing small puddles to accumulate in the seats and drench the immediate interior, but it dried up ok, and the stero is working without any issues. Anyone have any ideas? Thank in advance...
