Insurance Costs
Guys,
I know people have talked about this several times but for those new people, and anyone else, take a read. I have used Progressive for the last 5 years, and was paying $182 per month for full coverage, 10/20/10, and uninsured. I have 1 ticket on my record and drive a 93 SC400.
I recently just turned 25 and expected a huge drop in my insurance. They dropped it to $142 per month.
I was a little discerned by this as I was getting sick of paying what I consider too much.
I called Farmers and State Farm, both giving me ridiculous quotes of $262 and $312 per month.
I ended up calling a company called GHS who are a subsidiary of BCBS (BlueCrossBlueShield) and asked for a quote. Well, I was shocked!
I now pay $65 per month for full coverage, 25/50/25, uninsured motorist, and also $5000 of additional insurance for my wheels, body kit etc. Right now they would total my car out at approx $13,800 payoff if I were to get into an accident or stolen.
So shop around and save yourself some money!!

holy smokes, that's cheap
I pay full coverage 100/200/100 on my RX $500 deductible
Liability 100/200/100 on my SC
$1280 through Progressive per year. I'm 28 with clean record. Vehicle insured under my name since 1995
glad you found cheaper insurance. The cost of insuring anything is outrageous these days...
