Default Going back to tan interior from black?

Guys,

As some of u may know - my car was a tan interior that was for some ungodly reason turned into a somewhat black. Now don't get me wrong - i love black - but not when it looks like crap - which mine does.

Do u think it would be too difficult to go back to tan - ie redying etc? What about a tutone - tan and black (for the parts I can't fix)??

Actually, I am just hoping my car catches on fire!!!

Lemme know what u think,

Jonny

I think 2-tone is fine, thats what i have going on atm. My carpet was garbage too....i redyed the carpet to black (which i love so much, makes a big difference). i plan to reupholester(s/p?) my headliner cause of the previous owner was a smoker and made spots. and some other minor parts here and there to make black. if you redye your carpet, you will know what i mean

wait you dyed your interior?? That is a huge no no.

you might be better off going to a custom upholstery shop to have it redone. You get to choose whatever color you want and saves you some headache. If you are willing to ship your interior over to California, I have a great shop that specializes in custom upholstery. They will get your interior back to you within a week.

like i said, seriously consider having your car reupholstered. It is very affordable and you will pretty much have new interior.

Kreative auto interior here in southern california specializes in custom upholstery. They are very cheap and affordable with all types of vinyl and leather. As to what is being charged, im not 100% sure. They can redo the entire interior of the SC300 for about $2200.00 (estimate). When i mean everything, i mean EVERYTHING. they rewrap every single little piece possible literally.... even the wood trims in our interior. Our cars are relatively expensive to work on because of its complexity.

They get a lot of customers out of state and from the east coast that either drive or ship their interiors over to them.

check out www.kreativeinterior.com or call them at 626-288-0565 and ask for Hung. They are very close friends of mine and have done interior on my show car 4 times. If you call them, make sure that you tell them that Geoff Chen from illmatic referred you and that i said to give you a good price. I guaruntee that you will like their work and pricing.

they are going to do my SC300 soon as well.

Well, im sure there is a lot of stores that can redo the interior to stock looking. But I did mine myself because i was low on funds, and wanted to do some DIY work , it gives me time to familiarize the car some more, ehehehhe.......... and to Vssc400, i followed the thread and used the RIT dye. i used around 4 botlles at 3 dollars a bottle. so redoin my carpet only cost me 15 dollars, and some elbow grease
