Default Install new leather seats

The Driver's left side bolster always wears and tears. On the seat, the back section has a plastic piece for reinforcement that the frame pushes against. It was broken horizontally.

I fashioned a piece of sheet metal and laid it on top of the plastic. Used the adhesive glue sent along in the kit to hold it in place, plus duct tape.

For 1992 SC400, I chose Adobe color.

Default Wrinkles on the edges

I have an opinion why the new seats wrinkle where the old seats were smooth.
Leather Seats using a solid piece of fabric with a plastic edge. When you install the Hog Ring through the fabric it locks in leather in place.
Toyota uses wire satrips at each end of the connection. This allows movement.
I wouldn't mind reusing the stiff wire if sleeves had been installed.
Just me 2 cents.

Leather Seats.com uses a solid fabric with a plastic edge for installing the seats. When you attach the Hog Rings the new seat doesn't shift like the Toyota seat which uses stiff wire at both connections. The rings can slid a bit.
Just my 2 cents.

Default wrinkles

Toyota suggests spraying water on the wrinkle and then using a hair dryer.
The gathered center section is supposed to be wrinkled.
I am talking about the outer edge of the seat.

The new leather is definitely an improvement; soft, flexible and grippy.
I think only Toyota can give a wrinkle-free edge. They only made 50,000 SC bucket seats.

The passenger seat bolts are in plain sight.

Default heated seats

I believe you need to transfer the original center strip from the old seats (top&bottom) if you heated seats.
Especially, the back section. The center strip holds the pad in place.
I also used a stapler to reattach the pad to the fabric.

Default Leatherseats Rules.

There's nothing wrong with the leather seat kit from leatherseats.com.

Your problem is the installation. My first attempt at installing the kit came out just like yours. It took me some time to realize that it came out wrong. I tore it apart again and reinstalled it correctly.

Here's my first (incorrect attempt at the passenger seat).
