Default Hello... New member here!

Hello!

What's up guys? Anyway nice to meet everybody, I don't currently have an sc, but I'm most def in the market to find one. I was wondering how many of you guys actually have the 5-speed sc's? I know how hard it is to find a decent one and wanted to know how many of you have it in this forum. Also, how many of you have the 1j swap. I don't want to think ahead of myself but I want to do that swap in the future, I just wanted general comments about it like how you like it and how hard/easy it was to swap. I look forward to posting here a lot, peace!

Welcome, and let me be the first to say, the search button is your friend.

There are quite a few 5 spd SC300s on this board, hell probably half the ones ever made are here. There aren't too many 1jz swaps I don't think, but there are several JDM Soarers that came equipped with the 1jz-gte. There are quite a few NA-T SC300s, as well as guys who have swapped the 2jz-gte. Take a look around, read a lot about the swaps, and have fun!

kaotiq - how do you like the swap? did you buy a full clip? Was it pretty much bolt on? I'm very interested in doing this swap in the future which is why I'm asking all these questions... and thank you for the welcome

my car runs like a dream. Great power response from stock twin turbos, the hard part was the wiring. I did get a full clip. that made the job much easier.

After a lot of research, I suggest finding a clean 5spd and going the na-T route.
I'm close to having all my parts, and there is the slight possibility that by the end of the install I will be cursing myself for not just getting the GTE swap.

Welcome to CL!
