Show Car ????

Is it me or does the exterior not match the interior??? I mean so much detail in the interior and the outside looks so plain... This car with a kit and lambo doors would look better for SHOW... NOt my taste but I repsoect the thought and hardwork that must of went into that thing..
BTW..... wheres the instrument cluster?

Yeah, I've gained a new appreciation for 'show cars'. They have to do something different to stand out to win and if it makes their owner happy, more power to them.
Here's one that was at NOPI this last weekend.

I dont know why everyone is so quick to flame someone who is flaming this car. Maybe these people didnt put nearly the money that this guy put into his car but maybe they didnt because they were happy with it the way it looked. Just because you havent spent an obscene amount of money on your car doesnt mean it isnt nice. Look at everyone who is into the JDM scene. They spend an enormous amount of money and still look stock. And some people just like to be stock. Some people will throw a 97 full conversion on their 92 and respray it. It is still stock but it still looks like every other 97 and up but it is still good looking. I guess what I am trying to say is spending a buttload of money on your car doesnt make it nice to everyone and keeping it stock doesnt it make it ugly to everyone either. Personally the work on this looks good but I do not like it. I like the craftsmenship that went into it but I think the end result isnt that great. I do not like the missing cluster and everything else that is now gone and yes I also think that it looks horrible having such a futuristic looking interior with such a bland exterior. But thats me and thats my opinion. It doesnt make it right anymore than it would make it wrong.

that orange one is not a show car, its missing a few basics:
- does not even have the passenger side wiper
- missing the weatherstripping on the firewall area
the guy spent 20-30K on that car, and cant even fix the $30 items that came with the car.

I have no comments on the orange car but my opinions following pertain to the original post (the blue one).
In all honesty, I don't think the owner uses that sc400 as a daily driver. I am pretty sure he doesn't drive it all. I think he built that car to show off his fiberglass work. His shop is probably a fiberglass shop. He had to build an outrageous interior to show off his skills otherwise potential customers wouldn't notice his work. This is probably why he left the stock wheels on. He sells fiberglass, not rims. I take it as a compliment that he chose the sc as subject.
While I am here, I'll give my 2 cents on the orange one. The car is bad. It is definitely not show car material. The door panel is falling off and the trunk shocks don't work. I don't mind the blue car because it shows workmanship. However, the orange car is not finished and should not be shown.

My opinion, the first car, shows some good fibre glass work,,,, but what a waste. Could have been focused somewhere else.
but eh, I have now where to speak.
I still haven't found what I'm looking for,,,,,
damn that's a good song

i think it is cool that orange car showed up, i have seen it posted a lot, but never knew it attended shows since it never has been around the cl meets for the SE region.
PROM and Aliga ....... you two have only established one absolute truth in all this. Neither of you like the "other" car. Everything else is aiming in the wind and taking it in the face, which can be done in PM
If i go out and buy a pair of shoes, it's my darn money - they are mine. You might not like them..... but after you say you might not like them....... you've said your peace. It's still my money and my shoes. Just like it is their money and their cars. Both of you have the right to like it or dislike it, neither of you have the right to tell each other what the other persons beliefs are or should be.
The end.
