Default Need a quick response: removing door panel.

I need to know where pry, or what to do to remove the black plastic cover that goes around the door handle and lock. I don't want to do it wrong and break something, it seems in there pretty tight.

It has instructions here: http://reepa.com/doortrim.php but I'm not sure how to do step 5.

Just pop the black flat panel out from behind. Don't remove the lever through, just the plate in back.

Take a very thin flathead screw driver and put a piece of tape over the head. Then looking at the handle (the door is open) pull the handle towards you a bit. This should create a small crack where you can slide in the screw driver. Then pry it out.

Ok, now how about the trim around window, does the part at the back just pop off?

In case you haven't gotten this off already, yes, just pull. There are three clips on the back that are a different type than the others and take quite a bit of force. Once you get it off, you may have left the metal part of all three clips in the door. Mine were. Take them out and put them back on the plastic nubs on the trim before reinstalling.
