Just happen to get a 1997 Sc300 5speed in today from a trade-in.. Its black on black, with 120k miles on it. The body and paint are in ok shape, its got some water marks, nicks, and so on.. Inside is good with only the shift **** showing wear.. It's totally stock minus the tinted windows and gold badges.. Its not overall a mint condition vehicle, but can be polished and brought back to nearly great shape.. The previous owner seemed to rag on it a little bit, bit not badly.. So better much it comes down to a 97 5spd Sc300 w/120k miles fair shape, for a great price of $7,500.. I am almost there with buying it, but need some advice from other SC owners... Please let me know...

Look at the list of possible/frequent problems and check them out on the SC. Also check the tint to see if it passes state inspection if it's required to in VA. It is in MD and it can be a royal Pain in the @#$.

Well bought the Sc300 today for $8,500.00.. Already finished 1 wax job and cleaning up the minor things it needs.. Had the fog light and tail light bulbs burn out on me. Also it needs still new tires, rear brakes, and 3rd LED brake light.. Oh well good thing I work for Lexus and can fix them cheap.. just found out only in 1997 only 250 5spd Blk on Blk Sc300 where made.. Yes, very happy about that.. Does anyone know where I can get a intake to fit a 97? Keep finding every intake only fits up til 95.. Please let me know, I'm tried of trying to find it.. Already going to be getting a custom single side exhuast made if I can't find one.. Please help me out.. Kevin
