Sc300 5 speed SWAP. 215k miles. w58 is grinding, gonna need replaced soon, but the stock 2j is running great, lets hope for another 100k great miles on it!

other than that, lots of minor maintenance stuff common of most SCs. but overall, it's been an awesome car so far.

was great to me on the road trip from Seattle to San Diego. well... minus the radiator cracking halfway and me having to stop every couple hundred miles to fill it up and attempt to patch it, each time failing and having it leak all the rest of the way down here... it's replaced now though! :P

 

i have a 92 sc400 with 290xxxkms on it before i got in an accident with it. now i just got a 95 with 360xxxkms on it. both motors are running fine and both still pulling hard with stock auto tranny.

at 334,8xx miles my leaking headgasket finally started turning into a blown headgasket, so i swapped it out for my 140k ge this afternoon and now it runs like a champ again... for anyone who has'nt seen my previous post pics at around 325ish on page 28 this is in my 92 sc3 and the swap with 334 is the original to my knowledge. ran great till the other day, but with the fresh ge i can tell the difference, plus my old ge had mucho blowby= oil in the intake mani were my first indicators not to mention the hiss of leaking rings out of the crankcase when i hand cranked the motor after it was out, effortlessly hand cranked the motor LOL

 

my new-to-me sc400 has 361,4xx miles

so who on here has the highest miles on the sc im at 132000 and still original eveything so I am trying to get a heads up on repair and problem that will occur but damn I love the sc wish it would ride a lil smoother seems kinda bouncy but it smooth out on high speed ..........

Do any of you guys with 180k+ miles have a lot of problems with your SC's? My current one is sitting at 97k, and I thought about getting a cheaper, higher mileage to drive around for work and school.

 

wow guys, some very high NUMBERS!!!! as for me a 92 sc400 with 270K on it...still runnin strong!! thinkin about converting to a 4.7 wen the motor give up, but hopin to get another 100k out of it!!
