I was wondering if the steering wheels between lexus models are interchangeable. My current wheel is falling appart and I was thinkg of getting the wood steering wheels out of the new es330s.

I believe if you search you may find more accurate answers but they are interchangeable in regards to hub size HOWEVER there is different stage airbags in models and if I'm not off base some conncetors will NOT work with the SC.. 3 spoke wheels have been done b4 but the airbag connectors either don't work or require major mods to work....
See the steering wheel in the post "VOLK Rims".... There are direct bolt on TRD wheels that also allow your to use your airbag connnector.. Most if not all? Supra wheels will fit the SC300/400...
Thats your best bet

With the airbag, I believe our airbags are a 1 stage design. As long as you stick with this, they will plug in correctly. Most of the recent airbags are now 2 stage and we can't use them. The most recent setup that was interchangeable was the 2001 or 2002 ES, I think. Do a search on the different air bag design, you'll probably pull up something.

2 years ago I found a 95 SC brown wheel on www.car-part.com for $100. I called the salavage yard and ordered the part. I received a gray 95 LS400 wheel instead. I was only going to use it while I had my original wheel recovered. As I said that was 2 years ago.
My 1992 Air Bag mounts OK, but the gap is noticeable. I do like the LS wheel for its large round/soft feel.
If a person got the LS Air Bag and wheel as a unit, no one would ever know.

If your current wheel is falling apart and you want a high quality steering wheel cover then do a search for wheelskins or wheelskinz. I bought one for $40 and the fit and finish are great. I have never been a fan of aftermarket steering wheel covers because they all looked cheesy to me. Not this one, it's all leather and looks great after installation. You actually stitch it to your steering wheel so it's like you're re-covering the outer portion of the wheel with genuine leather. For $40 I found this WELL worth it
BTW, if you have the tan interior I suggest getting the Wheelskin in brown...not sand or tan or any of those "other" colors you think may look better...they don't, trust me on this one guys...just get brown if you have a tan interior.
