Haha hey, on Sunday I had the rear jacked up anyway to tighten my sway bar endlinks, and me and my friends got bored. SO we whipped out my stock 15's, slapped on 3 coats gloss black high temp/3 coats clear on them, and threw them on the back. I think for about $4 per wheel, you can make your ugly stockers look actually pretty decent. I love how they turned out with the black face/silver lip look, and Im gonna love ripping up the tires until I throw my 17's back on. Heres some pics
PS. My camera died just as I did my first real burnout. Launched her at 3k, hit the gas, held the brake, and smoke just billowed of everywhere, even my trunk. Ill be sure to do it again and tkae pics.
So for anyone looking to make their stock rims look better, I would highly recommend this.

looks awsome. i painted mine chrome and they look like crap. I'm trying to sell them but no one wants them. perhaps i will attempt to paint it black with a lip as well and see if they sell better that way. btw if anyone wants these wheels with good all season tires for a project like this. let me know. Winter is rolling around so they'd make for great snow rims.

Glad you guys like em, I know I sure do. As for the lip, all you need is some masking tape and some patience. Make sure to take your time when taping the lip off. As for prep, all I need was have my friend use some wheel cleaner and then some prep-all on the wheels. That worked pretty good, but for perfect result, I would recommend using wheel cleaner, then alcohol, then for perfect results, some finer sandpaper or steel wool.
Heres some more pics for you guys
No finger gap
ANd this was about as close as I could get with my camera crapping out
You can kind of see that "orange peel", but it is not actually orange peel, but rather the stamped ifnish of the wheels. If you want a perfectly smooth finish, a little sanding before paint would accomplish that
