Like me, you live in Massachusetts. This means the 400-500K in Florida will be about 700-900K in Mass. Possibly even more (based on location of course)
SC400T,
Congrats on a great looking house! Your so lucky!

Hey guys, yeah, I know real estate prices are far better in Orlando than in many older cities such as LA, Southern Cali, Mass, Atlanta, in fact the whole north east, NY, etc...Still, I know how much money I make, and I am among the top earners in the country, and I can't imagine having to spend $700k-$900k on a house to live in. In fact, many of my medical friends don't even like to spend more than $500k on a house. Must be tough to buy a nice house in all of those areas. I still think what I am spending is a lot of money...

It seems that having a new house built is better than buying a regular house from a previous owner. I like the fact that you can opt for whatever options you want. Price seems on par with regular houses that you buy from previous owners. What's your take on this?

Congrats, man! That's a damn nice choice there with the split garages. I'm guessing yours is the two-car and the wifey get's the single. The SC is a coupe with big doors so you need the extra door swing space.
Then you can build your shop around the car in the rest of the space. Sounds like a plan to me.
Beautiful choice. Also a good investment. Real estate is about the best there is right now in FL.
