It would be if you are like me and have a major in building construction

Nice combo. A different stucco color would better match your car though

SC400-V8,
Like me, you live in Massachusetts. This means the 400-500K in Florida will be about 700-900K in Mass. Possibly even more (based on location of course)

SC400T,
Congrats on a great looking house! Your so lucky!

Hey guys, yeah, I know real estate prices are far better in Orlando than in many older cities such as LA, Southern Cali, Mass, Atlanta, in fact the whole north east, NY, etc...Still, I know how much money I make, and I am among the top earners in the country, and I can't imagine having to spend $700k-$900k on a house to live in. In fact, many of my medical friends don't even like to spend more than $500k on a house. Must be tough to buy a nice house in all of those areas. I still think what I am spending is a lot of money...

Hey guys, I just read my post, and I don't like the tone of it because it sounds like I am bragging about making money. I honestly did not mean it that way...I know a whole lot of guys that make a lot more money than me, so please forgive me if it came out that way... I simply meant that no matter how much money I make, I think that spending that much money or more on a house is very expensive. I am excited about the investment opportunities in Orlando...That house I bought went up $10k in three days, and I had not even broken ground. Then I found that the same model (which is already built), but without the $25k bonus room, went up for sale for $40k more than I paid for mine...and mine is bigger, and fronting a large pond and conservation area. I wish cars did that- that we could get our mods back when we sell them, but no chance. You lose money on cars, you make money on dirt!! So, buy dirt!!

It seems that having a new house built is better than buying a regular house from a previous owner. I like the fact that you can opt for whatever options you want. Price seems on par with regular houses that you buy from previous owners. What's your take on this?

Ryan:

Congrats, man! That's a damn nice choice there with the split garages. I'm guessing yours is the two-car and the wifey get's the single. The SC is a coupe with big doors so you need the extra door swing space.

Then you can build your shop around the car in the rest of the space. Sounds like a plan to me.

Beautiful choice. Also a good investment. Real estate is about the best there is right now in FL.

Prices on having a house built can actually be even less, all depending. If you want to create a bumpy road for marriage or whatnot, build a house. Having everything fabricated and linked up will tax the living hell out of you, emotionally and financially.
