Yeah, he finished them. You have to send your tail lights in for him to do work on. I believe his design was made for the 92-94 tail lights though. Here's his site: http://www.*****************

95+ and 97+ are definitely my favs...I hate the pre-95 "let the world know you're making a right turn" blinkers...those things are just WAY to large...

Hey Lex400sc,

I notice on some pictures of yours that you have the pre95 lights on your 95SC. I was wondering if you have those 95 lights laying around. Shoot me an email at Tony@irotors.com if you wanna get rid of them.

Thanks,
Tony

The 97 lights will fit. I've got a 93 SC300 that I had put the '97's on, no problems. The bumper cover did change, but the fitment of the rear lights are the same. You will have to rewire the lights in the back because the bulb configuration changes. When this change was performed though, I was always getting a "lights out signal on the dash..... this might be because current use of the new lights are less than the old lights (less bulbs). Nevertheless, I couldn't figure out a way around it, until i just got rid of the "lights out" bulb in the instrument panel. Not the best way around it, but effective....

I am also getting the rear light indicator on my dash. I was going to remove that light as well, but never got around to it. Now I'm used to it, even though everyone thinks my car has problems. ACleanSC4, sorry I got rid of those lights a while ago.

I like the first style and the second. The 97 on up looks cheesey with the chrome that looks pink thru the lens IMO.

Yes, they are advertised on the site to be $1200. Personally, I would rather buy 97+ tailights for $600/pr and an awesome HID kit for the remaining $600. But that's just me. Hey thems tax refund checks are in the mail!! Time for you and your SC to celebrate!

I noticed that some people that have done the upgrade had problems with the rear-light-out indicator on the dash showing problems. Also, lexussc400.com has the kit for like 570 with a module. Does that module prevent the undercurrent (6 old bulbs compared to 5 in the new type)?

Anytime you change out the tail lights, you'll get that rear light indicator. I have 94 tail lights in a 95 and I have that light on. You get used to it, but there is a way around it. Take out the bulb behind that indicator light.

Not really, you can change your flasher module to the flashing module of the year car tail lights you are using. The flasher module has a resistance value which determines how many watts the entire "signal" system should consume. The 95-96 tail lights use less bulbs than the 92-94 for the signals.

Of course, you can always wire in a solid-state flashing unit.. that should resolve that.
