I believe its and idicator for a bad bulb ... I think there are lines that indicate front or rear...Hope i'm talkin about the same lights as I am having a hard time seeing it in your pic...

If it is a picture of a car then it is telling u that one of your rear lights is out. Brake, reverse, tail, turn signals.

There is a black box located in the rear drivers section of your trunk. It is a fail sensor that tells the gauge when u have a burned out bulb.

Good luck,
Jonny

Yep. That light came on in my car yesterday, but when I got out and had a friend step on the brakes all my lights seemed to be working properly. I plan to change all the rear bulbs this weekend anyway, it's one of those things I've never done.

I have the 97+ tails and this light is kinda annoying,
I can't wait until I redo my cluster so I can unplug the sucker....
The same can be said about the airbag light too....

I would clear the airbag light if I were you. There are "rumors on the internets" that it won't deploy if the light is on.

Yeah Phuong, he's right. I drove over to siniquezu's house to clear my light because supposedly the airbag won't function if the warning light is on. Better to be safe than sorry and clear the light.

...and Thang I haven't forgotten I owe you that drink

Thanks for the heads up guys, but I've been driving with this airbag light for a few years now....
Now I have a Supra steering wheel with a non functional airbag. I could care less for the life saving airbag since I rarely drive my SC anymore. I understand the consequences, so I better tighten up my 5 point harnesses.
I left the airbag unplugged in case it might self deploy on its own somehow BTW...

yea i got that light showing up on my cluster too after i step on the brake. I converted to the 97+ taillights from a 1995. Anyone know the part number for the taillight module sensor or something that is suppose to correct this? i kno it's expensive but if i'm gonna fix it, i wanna do it the right way and get it done. so can someone doublecheck to see if this part number is the part i need? 89373-24150

oh and the airbag light... i'd say just get it done, might as well if you're gonna be in there for 10 yr airbag maintenance... went to lexus stevens creek and they did it pretty quick ... charged me 56 bucks for the whole thing.

it's not that the bulbs are burnt out all the time that causes this problem. my father's lexus had this light turn on and it was the some wire that was loose. The dealer fixed it for 7 bucks.
