Smile Got back from the Track

Finally got around to running the Lex at the track.

I'm pretty pleased with my time... I didnt do soo bad.
I just wanted to see what the car is capable of doing bone stock, before I start modding it.

My best time: ( my other timeslip is around somewhere... 15.8@89)

I just got the car about six months ago and wanted to see what the car and I were capable of.. I'm not too dissapointed

Tommy.

I believe it is where you go. Offically I think perfect is supposed to be 0.500

The time looks about right although you 60' is pretty sluggish for a RWD. My old probe stock pulled a 2.19 on very average tires.

How were you launching it?

I'm just curious as to what different peoople are doing. Personally I have the optional 17s so I have crappy 235's. Regardless they require a 5-5.5K rpm launch on most pavments/highways, I do a very fast clutch slip. I get just a touch of wheel spin and hook up at 4200ish rpms and I'm gone. I have yet to be beat on a hole shot by anything other than a AWD car. I have some vids with someone else driving, the SC still didn't loose and he didn't drive very well at all. The clutch just finally gave up at 155K miles.

Why would you get disqualified for a good reaction time?
As long as it's positive, it's fair game.
As long as that number is above zero, you took off on green.

With the new LED trees this is no longer the case. A perfect reaction time is now 0.00. Watch the reaction times on the NHRA drag racing and you will see they are all very fast.

Thanks for the positive replys guys,

Since last year englishtown raceway park has changed the r/t to 0.00 as perfect.

My launch was at 4k rpm clutch slip
and hooked up decent considering I have almost no rear tread left on my tires.

The run felt like i pushed my stock car to the limit and I'm happy with that.

Tommy.
