i was wondering does or has anyone installed airhorns in there SC. i just got some and wanted to know how to wire these badboys up. they came w/ a 12v compressor any help will be appreciated Thanks

move this thread as you wish not sure where to put it but i would like to know where i should wire them up to my SC's electrical system.

 

Use your voltmeter to determine which is your horn wire under the dash. (avoid the airbag wire!).

The horn should ground,as in most vehicles. Therefore you will need a constant hot wire and the horn wire should ground.

 

I was actually thinking of doing this also. The stock horn is way too wimpy IMO. But everyone i spoke to said their wouldn't be enough room in the engine bay. I think they said i needed to replace the fans with electric slim ones and then move some stuff around to make the compressor fit!

 

There shouldn't be a problem with fitting, I've seen and heard an air horn fitted up to a Soarer... I need one too... for anyone that decides to cut me off in traffic.

 

well i have a Wolf Wistel Horn and a Air horn installed for girls and 4 ****wits that do the speed limit and dont stay left unless overtaking lol

 

i want some burly semi truck or fire engine horns...

 

 

Did they come with a relay, and does anyone know if the stock horns use a relay?
So are these the big chrome ones, which fender are you going to mount them on?
If you were in Texas you could get some of those cattle horns too.

When I put a set of air horns on another car, I just ran power from the old horn plug/wires, by the radiator.

 

thats cool.
the guy that tinted my windows had the police horn and siren in his corvette.
