We used to have the 9006 silverstars on our old honda accord, they went after a year of good use. But only A year.

I got the razo royal white bulbs first and they sucked! the color was waay too blue and one of them went out after a month, and the other one had all the blue peel off the bulb, so i got the silverstars and they have been working much brighter and longer, about 8 months so far and still going strong. I wanna try the 9005 mod next.

Are PIAA better than silverstars? if you put 9005 bulbs in 9006 sockets...do u have to cut the tabs on the 9005 to make them fit?
Thanks for the response.

For a bunch of guys that are wondering so much, you sure seem to have a problem using the search button.

What's stopping you from searching on "cut" "tab" and "9005" and reading the 6 other threads on the subject?

blah ha ha ha ha ha ha! That would be too easy Perry!

and to answer someone else's question about PIAA vs. Silverstars my answer would be a resounding YES, the PIAA's are better. I have the PIAA extreme whites and couldn't be happier, extremely bright, extremely white, and not offensive to other motorists. For $65 for the pair I think they were a steal...I plan to switch to a real HID set-up sometime next year and will most likely sell the PIAA's after that.

I have the Silverstar fogs and my driver side just went out on me. (5 months)
I think it might have somehting to do with the IC pipe resting on the assemply though.
Will investigate tomorrow.
