Default I have one!

I have a spare one that I picked up from a salvage yard but it's for a 92 sc4, don't know if it's the same.
If you want to try it and it works I'll sell it to you...

Default This might be of some help....

If you absolutely need to get the car going and the Fuel ECU is ****ed to hell, you can bypass it. On the diagnostics box in the engine bay I beleive you can short 2 of the connectors to get the fuel pump working. This is just a temporary solution to get out of bad places. But all it does is route 12v to the pump power. The SC400 pump is actually a dual stage 9v and 12v pump where it will operate at 9v on normal road conditions and switch to 12v when you're hammering it (power mode?). so when you bypass the ECU and keep it at 12v, you're running the engine rich. burning more fuel and oil. But at least it runs.

Have a look on your user manual to find the appropriate pins. If you are still interested, I can try to find where I got this info from. It was a while back and I just looked at it for referece. The diagnostics box will also open a whole box of fun trics... How about moving 10v away from the power steering so that you get a more "handling" sense of the road..... etc...

Take the red pill (matrix)

Cheers,

Toan.

how much should i expect to pay for one???? Toan, thanks but i am afraid that i have to get it b/c the dealer has my car and they have already ordered the ECU (by the way...what does ECU stand for?) What do u think a reasonable price would be and is there any way i could look at the Lexus price book at the dealer to see if 400 is the truth on what they had to pay?

Post Electronic Control Unit

You should get the part number and price it from Toyota...
I'd recommend that on any part!!
I've saved money going that route...
