I just test drove a 2000 SC300. Since it was the first time i've driven an SC i think some of you guys can give me advice. The car's gauge only shows about 20,000 miles. The inside and outside is in decent shape. kbb shows about $27k.
What price would u guys go for?
Whats the quickest way to check for previous crash damage that might have not have been recorded?
Is it easy to switch back miles on cars like these?
Not sure if it's running like a normal SC. Doesn't run like my LS but that's expected.

Average retail is around $25,600, while above average retail is approximately $27,700. Below average shows it's value at $23,300 or so. These numbers are for a 20,000 mile car. I'd say if you think it's in "decent" shape, you're paying for the miles. I'd recommend looking elsewhere, too. But your opinion of decent and mine might differ
. Good luck.

thanks for the info guys!
knock a few g's off... so down to $22k is reasonable?
oh yeah when i was in the car i noticed that all of the wood panels didn't really have the shine that some other cars' interiors do. it kinda just looks like a piece of wood w/o i guess would be the plastic or clear coat on the surface? n e ways is this what its supposed to be like?

it sounds like a good car to me i like the 99 and up steering wheel 20,000 miles sounds about right for the year but you could deffinatly get the price way lower also you have an ls400 correct? the 2jz will feel alot different from the 1uz even at idle and start up i know this from experiance my dad has an sc400 and ive got a 300 but it sounds like a good car to me im sure you will be happy with it if you decide to buy

Does the car come with a warranty? If so, then 25k is not too high. If you can get it lower, all the better.
I got my 95 in over 3 1/2 yrs ago for $24k but it had a warranty. Had 28k miles and the dealership has treated it almost like a new car. I'm not disappointed I paid so much. So, it depends on the shape of the car, where you're getting it from and if there's any warranty.

Be aware that 2000s demand a premium because they are the newest SC3s out there and very few were produced. However, the 2000 model year was unchanged from the 1999, so you can often find an "identical" 99 with same mileage/options/color for less than the equivalent 2000.
