A mint '93 with those miles is well worth at least 11K.

Hhmmm...A mint, low mileage Lexus SC400 or a Chevy Aveo? Tough one.
No way a 93 is worth $11k with 200k miles on it. Maybe 6 or 7k if its in good condition.

there around 8,000 Australian Dollars for a reasonable condition, i got my SC400 Shell for 6000 with every exstra there was on that model. So 15 off austrlian thousand dollers that converts to so I say is a bad deal.

I just agreed to purchase a 95 SC400 w/ 82K miles on it for $10,800 out the door...Just wondering if this is a good price...and earlier in this thread, it was mentioned that the 93 SC4 w/ 50K miles on it was a good turbo candidate...would mine still be a godo candidate as well? I know it has a little more miles on it, but the engine is in great condition....just curious...

I think when JLSC4 said "with those miles on it", he was refering to the specs given by jboy earlier on page 2...where he was asking about a 93 SC4 w/ 50K miles...

Correct.

My post stated that a '93 SC4 with 200K would be around $6K just as you later stated.

I test drove the 1998 model today. Pretty quick. Feels quite a bit faster than my GS430. Also, the handling is much better, with one exception. The car tends to oversteer, with the rear end feeling like it is going to come around. There was also a little bit of vibration, but perhaps the tires are out of balance.

Another thing was the paint had a few defects. The front bumper seemed to have a bit of crazing going on. Is this common? Also, there were a few water spots. Can these be removed? Also, black tends to show every defect.

The interior was very clean. The defects I noticed were a crack in the center vent, a small burn or cut mark next to the radio volume control, and a wind leak on the moonroof.
