Question

I am looking to lower my sc430. But I want to make sure I just lower it enough to increase performance, not to look like a g-money rollin' in my hood.

The current clearance is 5.6" with about 3" or so distance between my tires and the wheel well. Iwas thinking about 1.5" would be a good drop.

Of course this is all a moot point until there is a spring kit out there I can use. And has anybody suffered from some negative camber after you dropped your car? I wan't to try and avoid wearing out my low-profile tires even faster if possible.

Thanks in advance for any help.

hahaha! LOL, did I not say there would be posts like this!!! Damn I'm good!!

BTW....It might be kind of soon of aftermarket for the SC430, but I'm sure somebody is working on them!
Good luck finding them.

More like a billy bob on a southern back road in a S-10 dropped with chromed hammers bouncing like a stage coach...

Your car would have the perfect stance with an inch or two drop... Especially with those new wheels you have...

Loving the attention?!?!

Default funny you should mention it

Some guy who stopped at a light next to me asked me how long I had the car for. The car gets looks all the time. It's really funny. Although the thing I appreciate most is the uniqueness of the car...at least for now. But even with production of 10k a year, I shouldn't see that many on the road.

Yes I am hoping the drop will improve the look. Even though the cars actual height has not changed, the new rims make it appear as though its been raised somewhat.

So now I just have to wait for some kits to become available.

10K a year that's much more than the SC4 Gen I... In 99 there were only about 2,600 SC4 sold if I remember correctly and 2800 SC3... I still love the exclusitivity of SC Gen1 too, but i'll love to have a SC430 too!!!!!

Hey, quit playing with the top at the light!!! Are you trying to cause a traffic jam...

I love the smoothness of the operation of that top......

I haven't dropped my top at a stoplight yet for 2 reasons. One, with my luck the light will suddnely turn green. Two, it's a bit showy for me. I did drop it at a KFC drivethru which was much longer than the average traffic light, at least the one I go to. BTW, I only got a diet coke. God forbid I actually soiled the interior with food!

Talking dont do this to your sc430

The top does work smoothly...er...normally.

Heh heh.

I learned yesterday not to pop the trunk, and then try and raise the top...oops

Basically the axis point is different for the two functions. So I caused it to wet its pants and freeze. I had to get out and GENTLY push the top down.

Then everything worked just fine.

heh heh, disaster averted, let that be a warning to other sc430 owners!
