Question wet or dry???

Wolfy,

Are you all talking about the cone air filter... for an intake MAF adapter plate...?

If so: Wet refers to the K&N type units that requires cleaning by washing it after it becomes dirty. Then oiling it... reuse.. as good as new...(Thus the term wet..)

Dry filter (ex. www.Apexi.com ) just that...without oil and it is not to be oiled... It is left dry... some can be washed then left to completely dry before installed..(Thus the term dry...)

Also, Mindflux on a previous "air filter" thread you mentioned that you made your strut tower brace...

How did you make it/what was the cost???

If you don't "mind".. (no pun intended)

Default oh so blitz = dry

yeah just had my blitz filter installed. piping and all. no not just the adapter plate. so i guess this means this is a dry filter.

Default Hmmmmmmm

Yes you have the dry set-up.....

Blitz are decent units too, that look GREAT... Also on this site they have some other comparisons...

http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/index.html check the air filter tests out... Just some more info... On air intakes I also read that the are all with in 2- 4 horse power difference of each other...

Enjoy ...
