Default Buying '93 sc400..

Hey guys, I was looking at buying a 1993 sc400, new red paint, new tires, new leather, 115k miles for $5,500. Is that a good deal? Thanks for any help

Everyone keeps saying it's too old and has too many miles I just ran the carfax and the guy is the 3rd owner and everything else is clean.

considering its a 93 thats way low miles, its less than 10k miles a yr. most people here would pay 8-9k for that. if u do a search you'll find out that 80% of the people here have more mileage than that and it will last up to 400k+. im 185k running strong.

Mileage isnt a problem if you maintain the car. I just hit 230k last week and am still running strong.

I recently bought a '97 400 - Have you gone to the local dealership? I took the VIN to the service center and they were all too happy to run a report of all service done at company service centers. Obviously, not a complete history if the previous owner was fond of a local shop (or a diy-type). I know I felt better about the buy after another confirmation of the odometer reading and no redflags on the Lexus report.

But gut reaction - $5500 is a steal --

did they charge for the paperwork? how much is a basic inspection, want to have my suspension components checked, cuz alot of guys on here are offering me some killer deals on struts and springs and sways and bushings..
