whats going on? need you guys help yet again. im looking at a 1993 sc300 5 spd with 240,000 miles on it. it just had a new clutch, timing belt, and water pump done by lexus. it has stock is300 wheels on it and lowered 1.2" with eibach pro kit. paint is dark green, and body has minor dings. the seller is asking for 3500, but i may negotiate and get it for 3000. Anybody recommend that I buy the car? I am going to check it out today.. I would like to pick up another SC as a daily driver and use my current one for special occasion, show, or weekends. Price seems a little high to me. I wouldnt pay more then $2,500 for it. I got my 93 5-speed with 185k miles for $2k flat.

oh i just have a question, in your signature it says that you've got turbo coming, your planning on putting turbo kit on your sc with 185k miles? if so, do you have plans to rebuild engine before u put turbo?

 

I'm buying an extra motor to rebuild and install the turbo on, since I cant be without my car for a long time (its my DD).

 

i just came back from looking at the car and wow, it is practically mint. i am going to buy the car if this other guy coming down from boston doesn't beat me to it.

 

I am thinking about purchasing a 1995 SC300 5 speed from a dealer in New Jersey. Price is $ 6900 with approx 100,000 miles. I will have a complete inspection done on the car but I was just wondering if there was anything in particular that I should be looking for with this year and milage.

Wow. Where do you guys find these deals? I just picked up my pearl white '93 with 83k miles for 3-4x that amount. but I didn't really look for mileage, just how clean it was...
