Its kinda hard to tell, but does it only shift twice? And about the weight, the quickest stock bodied supra weighs in at ~3200lbs and runs a 7.90's@180's through a TH350

 

I heard it shift twice so IMO, it is not a Glide.

 

It clearly only shifts once about half way down the track. you can see the lack of complete traction out of the lauch by looking at the skids. It comes out of the hole, loses traction till about 60ft. By ~100ft the car gets 100% traction, during this point it sort of sounds like a shift but it's the revs dropping down because the tires are no longer slipping. It then revs to the shift point, shifts and rides the rest of the 1/4 mile out in 2nd gear. I think you're hearing a gear change during the loss in traction in the first 60-100ft.

 

Holy cow, that's fast. A lot of cars can't do that time from 0 - 60....well, maybe not cars....but trucks & SUVs.

yeah nice run. anybody ever just purchase a turbo kit for their sc300 and drop it into their car w/ stock engine? i heard you can get up to 302 rwhp. how fast would you be running a 1/4 mile with 302 rwhp on stock sc300?

 

there are quite a few SCs with "bolt on" turbo kits. you can actually get over 500hp from the stock na motor with a turbo. with upgraded fuel, and proper tuning, there is a lot of posibilities as to what you can get out of it.
