How long does it take to put those "boots" on?

Not long at all.

All you have to do is get out of the car after you park. Bend over to the wheels and put the boot on (it's just like a U-lock).

But it'll be a btich if you're in a hurry and forget to take them off before you drive off.

How about night time when you're trying to remove them and some guy hits you in the head, takes your keys, and drives off..lol

My first thought is "I'd loved to have caught him doing it to my car."

My second thought is "Having a police record for felony battery would suck."

You could always wait a few years after the conviction and then have it expunged like I plan on doing next summer
It never affected anything in my life. Not saying to go looking for trouble, but if someone is screwing with my property I'm not thinking about police records and so on.

i know how you feel man... its like if you have nice car... someone is always out to get you... in my case they just decided to bash it up and key it

i too have been developing a simple starter cut-off switch... however i would advise on NOT DISCUSSING them on an open forum such as this... theives have just as easy access to this forum as anyone else... and letting the tricks out of the bag isn't going to help us protect our cars.
