Default Cleaned Headlights + Silverstars

I also removed the light restrictions from the fog lights, saved myself $700 over the cost of new lights:

Everywhere you see a "bug" is literally a irremoveable physical scar from bug damage. I have the p/o to thank for that one - plus the fact that Lexus chose not to use clear in conjunction with their 202 Black Onyx paint. A repaint is in the cars future. The good news is that the black leather interior's condition and the solid drivetrain more than made up for the external flaws when I factored in the price. Here's another pic with the lights on:

silverstars are great glad you didn't go the "super white/ultra white/mega white" bulb route...those will only burn out on you sooner and not be as bright as the sylvanias...

from my personal opinion that is, before i went with true HIDs...i'll never go back...

What's with the ? There are metal cages of some sort that encompass the H3 bulb. By removing the impediment this in turn allows more light to emit from the housing. I can only assume that Lexus installed these to reduce glare under fog conditions but since mine are rarely used for that purpose I'm quite satisfied with the resulting increase in light. Again this was on my 95, other years may not have said restriction **EDIT** maybe "obstruction is a better word - sorry **EDIT**.

I may go HID in the future but for now this will have to suffice.

What kind of bulbs did you use for your fogs?

Silverstar H3, they were only half as much as the headlight bulbs at $19 for (2).

Advance Auto Parts. They are okay to deal with for bulbs beyond that they aren't too impressive - they don't even have the 5 quart jugs of Mobil 1 - Wal-Mart even stocks that stuff. I think I misquoted the price in my previous post - they were $19 each.

both of your pics appear to be exactly the same. Was that your intention?

Negative, I botched up the upload of the second pic; I'm at work now, when I get home I'll repost my original close up pic of the headlight replete with "bug" damage and all.
