I think for the price of the paint it looks great! What was it, like a $10 fix till you can get them redone?

Atleast you plan on replacing them, might as well look alittle better in the mean time.

Kaotiq.... I know it makes a Lexus man a lil' squeemish with all this
discussion about painting but in this case when
1) u need to buy time to come up with a permanent fix
2) painting non-essential items to restore stock like luster etc.
is not that bad... In this economy i can see where guys find it
tough to put money into new seats, covers etc. I really don't think
"cheap" is the right word... maybe "thrifty"..lol..

hehe...you got that right.....i mean if i had the money to do it and i have a choice of either use the $$$ for turbo kit or interior, i will go to turbo route instead. i cud care less about my interior and no need to spend
extra $$$$.....

Cheap interior refinishing products like this don't hold up well and are a waste of money, IMHO. As with adhesive dash kits and other "cover up" alternatives, it never looks good beyond about a month or so, is very vulnerable to being scratched, flaking off, heat, cold, you name it. I can't tell you how many riced out cars I've seen in parking lots that have this kind of thing inside and it's scratched all to hell.

Replacement seats (or just new leather coverings) are expensive but they are the way to go in the long run. I'm still saving up money for mine, to be done after I fix the window motor, the trunk struts, and the windshield.

hehehe thrifty. I would be worried about the paint coming off onto the clothes especially if the driver or passenger happen to perspire a bit. eeeek

I did this to one of my seats till i get my leather a couple months ago and its held up its like latex kinda. Its flexable no way it will rub off my gf sits there all the time so that would be a nono. Duplicolor is actualy some good ish for a temp fix....

You guys are suggesting Supra seats to him like they're brand new. If he bought Supra seats, he'd still have ratty ol' leather, then he'd have to re-wrap them. budget has just doubled.
